Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This policy explains what information Split 60 Golf collects, how we use it, and the choices you may have. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Who We Are

Split 60 Golf is a golf practice and swing-improvement application that helps users build structured practice sessions, track progress, record swing thoughts, and analyse swing mechanics.

In this Privacy Policy, “Split 60 Golf,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Split 60 Golf website and application. “Service” means split60golf.com, the Split 60 Golf web app, and related features, pages, content, and communications.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, authentication provider identifiers, profile image if supplied by a sign-in provider, password hash for email/password accounts, account role, and account creation/update timestamps.

Profile and onboarding information: golf experience level, skill level, handicap if provided, practice frequency, preferred game areas, goals, subscription status, and related preferences.

Practice information: sessions started or completed, selected drills, timers, confidence ratings, notes, scoring metrics, practice streaks, achievements, game-area progress, XP, and level data.

Swing improvement information: swing thoughts, reported game problems, problem descriptions, selected fixes, AI swing-coach analysis results, checkpoint labels, body and club-shaft landmark coordinate data, calculated angles, issue labels, severity ratings, scores, and recommendations.

Authentication and security information: session tokens, OAuth account metadata, verification tokens, request metadata, IP-derived security signals, and logs needed to keep the Service working and secure.

Payment and subscription information: if paid plans are enabled, we may process subscription tier/status, customer IDs, subscription IDs, and related billing status. Payment card details should be handled by a payment processor and not stored directly by Split 60 Golf.

Device and usage information: browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location from IP address, error logs, feature usage, and similar diagnostic or analytics information.

3. Swing Videos and Camera Access

The native Split 60 Golf iPhone app may ask for camera access so you can record your swing. Camera access is controlled by iOS, and you can revoke it through the operating-system settings.

Raw swing videos are intended to remain in private storage on your iPhone. Split 60 Golf does not intentionally upload or store your raw swing video files on our servers as part of normal Swing Coach analysis.

When you save a swing analysis, the Service may store derived analysis data such as numerical body landmarks, estimated grip and clubhead positions, shaft angles, frame timing, confidence values, checkpoint scores, body-part scores, issue labels, and recommendations. This lets you review your swing progress without us storing the original video.

If you choose to download, share, screen-record, or otherwise export a video from your own device, that copy is your responsibility.

4. How We Use Information

To create and manage your account, authenticate you, prevent unauthorised access, and maintain sessions.

To provide the practice app, including sessions, drills, Fix Your Game, Swing Thoughts, achievements, progress charts, recommendations, and Swing Coach analysis.

To personalise your experience based on your skill level, practice history, goals, preferred game areas, reported problems, and saved swing thoughts.

To improve the Service, diagnose errors, measure feature usage, test product changes, develop new drills and coaching features, and understand whether users are getting value.

To communicate with you about account activity, service updates, security issues, support requests, policy updates, and product announcements where permitted.

To enforce our Terms of Service, protect users, investigate abuse, comply with legal obligations, and defend legal rights.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we process personal information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service, because you have consented, or because we need to comply with legal obligations.

Examples include using account and practice data to provide the app, using diagnostics to keep it reliable, using consent for optional marketing where required, and retaining limited records where law or legitimate security needs require it.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, preferences, performance, and analytics.

Essential cookies are required for login and account security. Optional analytics or marketing cookies, if used, help us understand how the Service is used and improve public pages and product features.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login or core app features from working.

7. How We Share Information

Service providers: we may share information with vendors that help us host the Service, store data, authenticate accounts, send emails, process payments, monitor errors, analyse usage, and provide support.

Authentication providers: if you sign in with Google or another OAuth provider, that provider may process information under its own privacy policy.

Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, regulator request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the Service.

Business transfers: if Split 60 Golf is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate protections.

With your direction: we may share information when you ask us to do so, such as if future features allow sharing progress, reports, or coaching outputs.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We also do not intentionally sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising unless we provide the choices required by applicable law.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve safety, and maintain business records.

Practice history, swing thoughts, progress, and swing-analysis records are generally retained while your account remains active so the app can show your progress over time.

If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymise personal information unless we need to retain it for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, backup, or legitimate business reasons.

Backups and logs may take additional time to expire from our systems, but they are retained only for limited operational and security purposes.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authentication controls, hashed passwords for email/password accounts, access restrictions, and secure hosting practices.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for using a unique, strong password.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights, subject to legal thresholds and exceptions.

EEA, UK, and similar-region users may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority.

To exercise rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Service.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected].

12. International Users

Split 60 Golf may be operated from, hosted in, or supported from countries other than where you live. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

13. Health, Fitness, and Performance Data

Split 60 Golf is a golf training and practice tool, not a medical, physiotherapy, mental-health, or professional coaching substitute.

Swing analysis, practice scores, progress data, and recommendations are informational. They may relate to your movement or performance, but they are not medical records and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent injury.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice through the Service or by email.

Your continued use of the Service after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.

15. Contact Us

For privacy questions, data requests, or concerns, contact [email protected].

Please include enough information for us to understand your request, verify your account if needed, and respond appropriately.
